We offered. They came.
From Washington, Idaho, Wyoming, and Oregon.
But, also from Congo, South Africa, and Uganda.
It was the first attempt and it exceeded our wildest imagination.
Now we are offering it again. Will you or someone you love come?
Next Generation Ministries sponsored a 12 week, residential, intercultural mentoring course in the
African nation of Uganda last year.
NGM is proud to again offer the same opportunity to young adults THIS YEAR!
12 WEEKS ... The course will begin on September 18 and concludes on December 8, 2017.
RESIDENTIAL ... The course is conducted on the compound of Next Generation Ministries, located at Plot 80, Mvule Crescent, Jinja, Uganda. Housing, meals, transportation and almost anything required to live ... and more ... will be covered by the tuition required. But, space is limited to a total of 18 enrollees.
INTERCULTURAL ... Those who enroll may come from various countries and cultures which provide for learning experiences that will expand worldviews. Adjusting to the mindsets that accompany each and every culture is a great learning tool in and of itself.
MENTORING ... Though the course will provide formal instruction from some of the best teachers and facilitators from the continent of Africa, the experience of sharing life together is, in itself, a mentoring experience. The directors of One Step and the hosts of the course are experienced parents who come with remarkable references (see the testimonials on the One Step website) who will facilitate and provide foundational essentials for life's journey.
COURSE ... One Step embraces the reality that life is a journey ... but, it must be taken one step at a time. The destination is a God-given destiny ... a fulfilled, meaningful, significant life experience that requires some basics in order to be realized. This intercultural, mentoring experience is just one step in that journey. BUT, it is one step that will greatly help you on your way to your destiny.
Maybe these words aren't enough for you. Maybe you need some visuals to make it come alive for you. Then watch the following brief video based on last year's initial group of enrollees. A lot was learned by the facilitators in 2016. It was a great beginning, but adjustments are being made that promise to make this second effort even more beneficial.
