NGM Update 195 What Can I Do In Uganda?

What Did God Make You To Do?
December 29, 2010

Pam and I are always inviting people here in the United States to come to Uganda and experience what the Lord is doing.  Some of them wonder, "What would I do if I came to Africa?"  Doing something is pretty important to a cultural that has strong motivation to accomplish and produce.  I remember the first time that a retired man asked me this question.  My response was, "What do you do here?"

People can have some funny ideas about what a missionary is.  So, when invited to come to Uganda as a short term missionary ... well, they may miss the opportunity the Lord has for them because of some funny idea.  Chad Hair was not one of those people.  He works as a videographer out of Pocatello, Idaho.  He has been to Uganda with Next Generation Ministries twice now.  He brings his equipment and shoots and edits videos.  He loves the Lord.  He loves people.  He loves Ugandans. And he loves his work.

What Chad has done for Lillian Bulamu is beyond anything she could have thought or imagined.  She would have never been able to pay for his services for her music videos.  Lillian is one of our Next Generation Ministries associates and is a accomplished composer and singer of original songs.  She is known all over Uganda and much of East Africa for her song God Is A Miracle Worker.  God connected Chad to Lillian and both used the gifts God gave them to do something together that they could not have done otherwise.  Please enjoy the music video Chad made with Lillian for this song here.

Pam and I arrive back in Uganda on March 8th for this year's tour of work.  We will remain in Uganda for six months.  We would love to have you come and do something in Uganda.  You may have never imagined yourself doing something half way around the world that would bless the people of Uganda.  But, why not consider it?  Think about it.  Pray about it.  Talk with our family and friends about it.  If you need help with the answer to the "what can I do in Uganda" question, Pam and I would love to help you search for the answer.  You just may find out some things about God and yourself that you would never discover in America.  2011 may be the best year ever for you as you adventure with the Lord in Africa.  Email us at nextgenerationug@gmail.com.

Lillian's first CD, Not Because of Me, is available from Next Generation Ministries.  Email us with your mailing address if you would like to purchase a CD at $10 each.  The proceeds from the sale of these CD's go directly to Lillian to help her continue to uses her music to exalt Christ.  Shipping and handling are free.
