Steaks ... Chicken ... or Ribs?

A final decision hasn't been made.  Well, at least not about the menu.  But, what we know for sure is that the annual Next Generation Ministries BBQ is gonna happen!

• Invite your friends.

Anyone interested in Next Generation Ministries (or just a great free meal!) is invited.

This is the big day for the BBQ!

This two month notification will give you plenty of time to organize your schedule, book a flight, reserve a room at our house or Jaja Duke and Jeannie, and incorporate an Oregon or West Coast vacation after the big day.

Seriously! We love to see friends of Next Generation Ministries have ample time to fellowship with each other.

We plan to eat at 1 PM, but you can come early and stay late. We will provide ALL the meat, side dishes, desserts, beverages, table service, bathrooms ... EVERYTHING.  I know that listing all these things will drive Pam crazy, but I want each of you to know that we are simply interested in having you come without any obligation or responsibility.  I think you get the point.

Jeff enjoys some African children

An additional SPECIAL FEATURE of the BBQ will be the presence of Jeff Kasigwa from Jinja, Uganda.  Jeff is a long time associate of Next Generation Ministries.  He serves NGM as host in our guest house when we are not in Africa.  He is a spiritual son to us.  And, he is the husband of Lyzette Kasigwa, Executive Director of Women in Crisis.  He was granted a two year visa from the U.S. Embassy in Kampala and this will be his second trip to the United States.  His last visit placed him in the South where he was privileged to eat raccoon.  We want Jeff to compare our traditional BBQ with that specialty of the South!  He will also be sharing with us sometime during the afternoon.

So ... talk it over with your spouse, or your family, or your friends.  Plan to come on Saturday if you are local.  If you are from out of town, please email me or notify me somehow and we will work out free meals and lodging for you.
